Fees for Services

The fees for psychological services depend on the service type. Psychotherapy sessions (50-55 minutes) delivered by a psychologist cost $240. Psychological assessments are charged at the same rate and typically require 7.5-11 hours to complete. The length of the assessment will depend on your individual assessment needs, which will be reviewed in advance of appointment booking.

Psychological services are covered by most extended health care benefits (e.g., work, school, or private health insurance plans). Please check with your insurance provider to learn if all or parts of your fees may be covered. Session fees not covered by your extended health benefits may be claimed when filing your income taxes.

Reduced Fees for Services

Therapists providing services under the supervision of a licensed psychologist offer a reduced rate. The current rate for sessions by a supervised therapist is $170 per session. These services are billed and covered under the supervisor's license with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Most extended health care benefits cover these services; please check with your benefits provider to confirm.

Cancellations or Missed Appointments

Please provide 24-hours notice for any appointment changes or cancellations. Appointments cancelled with less than 24-hour notice and missed appointments are subject to the full session fee.

Your personal information is handled with the utmost care to ensure its privacy. Legally and ethically, psychologists are not allowed to disclose information clients share except in specific circumstances. These limits to confidentiality will be outlined in a consent form that will be sent to you in advance of your first appointment and will be discussed in detail at the beginning of your first appointment. You will also be invited to ask any questions about the privacy policy so that any concerns you may have can be fully addressed.
