Ms. Elsa Alvarez is a clinical therapist with a Master's in Psychology.

She has over 24 years of experience providing therapy and assessment services to adults with a wide range of concerns. Her services are supervised by Dr. Eva Muharib.

About Ms. Elsa

Approach

Ms. Elsa's therapeutic style is compassionate,  personable and non-judgmental. Ms. Elsa strives to provide clients with both a supportive and effective therapeutic experience. Her approach is evidence-based and guided by best practices. She tailors therapy to meet the unique needs of each client by incorporating  her in-depth knowledge of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. 

Ms. Elsa provides therapy to adults (18-65 years of age) with a range of concerns including anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, emotional challenges, life transitions, low self-esteem and relationship challenges. Ms. Elsa also provides assessment services to individuals presenting with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and personality challenges, amongst many others conditions.

Ms. Elsa provides psychotherapy and psychological assessment services to adults in both English and Spanish.

Education and Experience

Ms. Elsa completed her Master's degree in Psychology at Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto, Ontario. She has over 24 years of experience providing psychotherapy services to adults in Canada and internationally. She has held positions at community mental health programs as well as several private practices in the Greater Toronto Area.

Ms. Elsa is currently working toward autonomous registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Her services are supervised by Dr. Eva Muharib.  As such, her services are covered under her supervisor's license with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
